Privacy Policy
ZephyBudget is built by Currentbits as a local-first personal budgeting app for iPhone. This page explains what the app does (and does not do) with your information.
We do not collect your data
ZephyBudget does not run analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. There is no Currentbits server that receives your budgets, transactions, or account information.
In Apple’s App Privacy labels, ZephyBudget reports that it does not collect data from the app. Apple defines “collect” as transmitting data off-device in a way the developer can access. We cannot access your data.
Where your data lives
Budgeting data is stored on your device. If you are signed into iCloud and iCloud is available, optional sync uses your own CloudKitprivate database. That database belongs to you; the developer cannot read it.
If iCloud is unavailable or turned off, the app still works. Changes simply stay on that device.
Receipt photos
If you use receipt scanning, text is recognized on-device with Apple’s Vision framework. Images are not uploaded to Currentbits or any third party.
Optional features
- App lock (Face ID / Touch ID / device passcode) is opt-in and off by default. Biometrics stay on your device via the system.
- Reminders and the weekly digest use local notifications you enable. They are scheduled on device.
Exports
CSV export produces a file you choose to save or share. We never receive those files.
Children
ZephyBudget is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes that affect how the app handles data will ship with an app update when required.
